Community Choice is an approved provider of Personal Assistance (formerly “Personal Care Assistant”, or PCA, Services) by the Missouri Department of Mental Health. The goal of PA is to support the individual with activities of daily living, such as bathing, toileting, dressing, meal preparation, feeding, and exercise. All our PAs are trained and qualified to work with individuals with intellectual / developmental disabilities. Our person-centered services focus on matching a PA that best meets the support needs and personality of the individual.
This includes “Community Integration” and “Individual Skill Development” (formerly Home Skills Development) Services. The goals of these services include, but are not limited to assisting and teaching individuals participation in community activities, develop relationships with the broader community, acquiring life skills necessary for independent living, and achieving maximum independence in home and community-based settings.
